For the words that have always been true. Now given a home in light
Nearly six decades of lived experience offers much to reflect upon. Eight years ago I found the medium through which to give these reflections a home. My tools are the natural grain of wood, the translucence of washi, the expressive clarity of ink, and light... this is the language through which reflection and story finds its visible form.
These Limited Editions are my most personal compositions. They are vessels for all I hold close, truths I live my life by, wisdom that has held people and tradition together through time, the kinds of things you write on a piece of paper and keep in your wallet for twenty years.
There is more though, an unseen aspect... each piece is imprinted with what I hold in my heart at the time of making, something I pay utmost attention to. This imprint is alive. Only the keeper will come to know and recognise it. It asks nothing of you except to live with it, and let it live with you.
These editions are also shaped by the conversations that move through the inner circle, the passages shared, the symbols that resurface, the quiet themes that keep coming back. This is a genuine collaboration of spirit. As a gesture of gratitude, I often gift the inaugural piece of a new series to the one whose words found their way into the making.
Each edition is intentionally made in small numbers, identified by its place in time, by my hands. Once they have found their keepers, they do not return. When the time comes to release a new edition, I will share it within the inner circle first. Not yet part of the circle? Join us here
Something is taking form
The first Limited Edition is being shaped in the quiet of the studio. It is emerging from the same place all my works inhabit... the human spirit, lived experience, stillness, and the wisdom that remains when the noise falls away.
When it is ready, it will arrive with its complete story.
Works that have found their keepers
These editions will not be returning. Each was made with intention, in small numbers, identified by its place in time by my hands.
They live now in the homes of those who recognised something of themselves in them. They are awakened each evening in ritual, for reflection. Each heirloom begins as something made with care. This is where that story starts.
