Customize and personalize your lantern or lamp in unique ways:

This is certainly the fun part! It can also be a little overwhelming too... and on this note I wish to guide you by saying something you likely already know - “Simple is Beautiful”.

First, be sure to browse around the “Shop” and familiarize yourself with the lantern and lamp collections I currently offer. You will most likely find what you are looking for “as pictured” without much of anything further needed. At a minimum, you’ll find a solid starting point for you to then make your own with some small changes. New collections are added on an ongoing basis (join the “In the Works” newsletter, or blog, to get an insiders scoop when this happens).

Each collection has a unique design. Each design in-turn can accommodate certain customizations, for personalization. I do mention what kind of customizations can be accommodated in each collection, but will expand on the notable ones, more, below.

Artwork - choose something special from the artists I collaborate with (or have one of them create something just for you), or provide me with something you have written consent to use, or done yourself - this must be in the same style seen below, else it will not likely provide satisfactory results when illuminated.

Paper - choose the specific paper you would like to use. With printed artwork there is a limited selection because these papers usually require a special coating for the printer pigment inks. When no artwork is required, the selection is extensive - choose to use papers based on natural textures and translucency, or use silk-screened papers. These specialty papers are handmade and machine made (but look hand made), and come from Japan. The silk screened papers are all done by hand. These Japanese papers bring an undeniable simple beauty where nothing more is needed.

Embellishments - this option is coming. A new lantern collection will make it possible for me to incorporate unique physical elements into the design itself. These elements could be shaped wood pieces (such as waves), jewellery, dreamcatchers, stained glass, jewels, stones and more. I am currently working on this new collection but do not have a timeframe, at the moment, for its availability.

In the section below, I first display the artists I currently work with (a growing list) and some of the Artwork they offer. I then display the Paper selection I currently offer - silkscreen papers as well as plain papers.
